Have you ever dreamt of taking a week away in our PNW winter? Going somewhere sunny, lush, and warm to escape from your daily routine for a bit? Now add in the option of twice-daily yoga. What about an afternoon by the pool with a book? Or a massage on the beach? Talking about yoga philosophy and being with community more your speed? We have that option too. All of this with 3 nourishing and delicious meals a day with no effort by you. This is a retreat full of options for nourishing yourself, on and off the mat.

Heights Yoga will be hosting our first-ever yoga retreat at Cala Luna Boutique Hotel in beautiful Tamarindo, Costa RicaHosted and led by Julie Wiggins, owner of Heights Yoga. Experience yoga in the jungle while listening to the Holler Monkeys. All-levels yoga will be offered twice-daily in an open air yoga shala and led by Nicki Taylor (ERYT-500) and Betsy Bouffard (RYT-500).

Cancellation Policy: 

We cannot provide for cancellations after 12/5/2023. We are unable to refund attendees for unforeseen circumstances (injury & health issues, family emergencies, inclement weather, change of heart, etc.) as we have costs already incurred. We have contracts to honor when reserving accommodations and excursions. We strongly encourage travel insurance for your trip. Thank you for your understanding.

Addiction separates and disconnects people from their families, communities, and themselves. 

Yoga can be a tool to reconnect through Y12SR.

Y12SR is the Yoga of 12-Step Recovery. Combining the practical tools of a 12-step program of recovery with the physical and spiritual practices of yoga, this class is an innovative mind-and-body practice focused on addiction support and relapse prevention. 

Y12SR is open to anyone and everyone dealing with addiction — their own or the addictive
behavior of others.

A Little R&R: Reiki & Restorative

Sunday, September 17 | 5:30 – 7:00 PM

Please join us for this lush and peaceful offering of time to unwind, let go, and restore your body and well-being.R & R combines the benefits of a restorative yoga class with the benefits of personalized, hands-on adjustments and Reiki, a soothing and non-invasive healing practice.

Supported by one teacher offering guided breathing, gentle movement, and time to sink comfortably into each pose supported by props, two additional teachers offer hands-on adjustments and/or Reiki to those who wish.

This class is designed to give us all the experience of relaxation, peacefulness, and recharging our self—body and mind—in a trusted community.

Please wear warm, comfy, loose-fitting clothing, and come ready to let go and receive good things.

Please also feel free to bring any comforting personal items that feel supportive such as a favorite blanket, stuffed animal, or sacred object to help connect you to your most relaxed self.

Class led by Christopher Hirsh; hands-on adjustments and reiki offered by Nicki Taylor and Betsy Bouffard.

Yin + Yoga Nidra

Turn inward, slow the chatter of your mind, and find deep release in your body. In this workshop, you’ll first practice Yin Yoga, holding restorative poses, with support from props, for 3-5 minutes. You’ll release tension from the physical body to prepare for the practice of Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra, translated as yogic sleep, offers us access to the space between wake and sleep. It is in this state of consciousness that the body and mind are able to fully relax. All you need to do is follow the sound of Emily’s voice.
